| It wasn't so long ago, relatively speaking, that India was just another diamond manufacturing and trading center. Today, India is the heart of the global diamond industry with the traditional centers simply playing marginal support roles. Indian manufacturers determine the worldwide terms of trade, are the real price setters, and make all the difference - for better or worse. Let's not kid ourselves: having a competitive edge anywhere in the diamond business essentially means being able to compete with India. |
