|Exploration company Golden Saint Resources Ltd (Golden Saint) has announced the company's unaudited results for the six months ended 30 June 2017 (H1 2017).
Bulk sampling results for the company's Tongo License, located in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone, report 96.75 carats of diamonds (56 stones), and 26 grams of gold recovered from 750 tonnes of gravel processed. The largest diamond recovered was reportedly 4.1 carats.
Bulk sampling results for the company's Baja License, located in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone, report 84.73 carats of diamonds (52 stones), and 1.8 grams of gold recovered from 1,355 tonnes of gravel processed. The largest diamond recovered from the Baja site was reportedly 2.55 carats.
The company reports that bulk sampling of gravels continues at Tongo Site #2 and Baja Site #4, and is expected to be completed by end of September 2017. The geochemical soil sampling program with field mapping, focusing predominantly on gold distributions and occurrences, has commenced at Golden Saint's Moa License area in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone.The company has announced the return of Hassan Abass Kargbo as Exploration Manager to the Sierra Leone team, effective 12 May 2017. Hassan is an internationally experienced geologist with over 8 years of experience in Sierra Leone. Sallau Deen has moved into the role of Senior Geologist.
