Corporate History
Tacy Ltd. is a unique Tel Aviv-based international diamond industry consulting service focusing on information-gathering, research and analysis covering all aspects of the international diamond business - from the mining of the rough, the raw-material distribution methods, the processing industries, the financing frameworks, to the marketing of the polished product. The strength of the company lies in more than thirty years of continuous involvement in its area of expertise. Tacy Ltd. is also a member of the World Diamond Council, which is aimed at eradicating "conflict diamonds" from the diamond business.
Initially, the primary focus of the company and/or its principal consultant Chaim Even-Zohar centered on the creation of diamond industry media products. The more noteworthy products developed with our assistance and expertise include Diamond Intelligence Briefs (founded in 1984); Mazal U'Bracha Diamond Magazine (1985), now renamed as Idex Magazine; Diamond International (1989); Adior Jewelry Magazine (1990); Kompass Diamonds Israel (1993); Canadian Diamonds (2001); From Mine to Mistress (2002; Diamond Industry Strategies to Combat Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism (2004); DiaCompliance (2006), a Tacy occasional paper dealing with legal and ethical compliance; and a totally revised From Mine to Mistress - Corporate Strategies and Government Policies in the International Diamond Industry (2007). Some of these are still the industry's leading titles today.
This traditional media focus - requiring continuous collection of industry intelligence - has more recently given impetus to the development of ancillary consulting services and the provision of custom-made products.
