Tacy Ltd.'s Management

Tacy Ltd. employs a staff of half a dozen full-time professionals, supported by associate agreements with other consultants, to enable the widest possible base of expertise. Some of our key people are well-known in the diamond industry:

Chaim Even-Zohar, Tacy Ltd.'s principal shareholder, has been associated with diamonds since the early 1970s, when he arranged the Israeli government's rough diamond purchases from the U.S. Strategic Stockpile. Thereafter, he served as deputy director-general of the governmental Pituach Diamond Corporation acquiring rough from Sierra Leone, Central African Republic, Liberia, South Africa, Guinea, U.K. and Belgium. After a short stint as a manager at a bank's diamond branch, Even-Zohar turned to journalism and consulting and established his own companies. Born in the Netherlands, Even-Zohar immigrated to Israel in 1965, serving in the Israel Defense Forces as a parachutist. He earned a B.A. in journalism (California State University), and M.A. in International Communications (American University, Washington, D.C.), followed by doctoral studies in Economics and George Washington University and at the Johns Hopkins University. Even-Zohar serves as a director of several companies and is a member of the World Diamond Council. In 2008, he was awarded Honorary Membership of the Israel Diamond Exchange.

Eli Cohen is responsible for some of Tacy Ltd.'s economic research and analysis. Born and educated in Israel, Cohen earned a B.A. degree in economics and M.B.A. from Bar Ilan University. In the Israel Air Force, he served as navigator and at discharge after 25 years of service, held the rank of colonel. His non-diamond related projects are channeled through Meimad 21 Ltd., an economic consultancy.  Recently, Cohen has been involved in reorganizing the air force of a newly independent Eastern European country. Cohen specializes in evaluating companies in the diamond industry, conducts company performance analysis and charts organizational structures for diamond companies. His analyses and research form the basis of much of the work developed by the company.

Rachel Segal is an Industry Analyst and Consultant. She is also responsible for various research projects conducted by Tacy Ltd. on behalf of clients. Born and raised in the United States, Segal graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.A. in Electronic Media and Journalism. Segal worked in broadcast news for a short while, including writing at CNN, before moving to Israel in 1999 to pursue a master's degree in Middle East History at Tel Aviv University. Upon completion of her M.A., Segal worked as a writer, editor and researcher in Israel's non-profit sector for a number of years. She joined Tacy Ltd. in 2005 and successfully passed a very intensive diamond industry and training program. Segal assumed her current responsibilities in 2006, and has also served as acting managing editor of Diamond Intelligence Briefs.

Jackie Reardon is the Client Liaison at Tacy Ltd., providing support services for Tacy's clients and coordinating the various ongoing projects. Born in South Africa, Reardon immigrated to Israel in the late 1980s. She has been with the company for more than a decade and has extensive administrative experience in both the diamond and hi-tech industries. Reardon holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of South Africa and is currently working toward her Master's Degree in Economics.
