CIBJO COMMITS SUPPORT FOR JEWELRY INDUSTRY SUMMIT
27 September 2015
The organizers of The Jewelry Industry Summit (JIS) have announced that the World Jewelry Confederation (CIBJO) has committed to sponsor the JIS both financially, and by urging its members to fully participate in the summit.

Gaetano Cavalieri, President of CIBJO said:  "CIBJO's mission is fully aligned with the goals of the Jewelry Industry Summit.  Engaging in responsible sourcing is a basic and universal value for all CIBJO members - and this summit presents a rare opportunity for every sector to work together to create actions for all businesses to sustain the supply chain and ensure the success of our businesses in the 21st century.  CIBJO will do everything it can to ensure that the summit is a success."

The summit, which will take place from March 10-13, 2016 at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, is an industry-wide open forum which aims to facilitate open discussions on sustainability and responsible sourcing in the jewelry industry, as well as to create awareness of supply chain challenges and develop tools to "benefit the jewelry industry and create business opportunities and new sources of value for suppliers and the consumer."
